GROWING IN 9TH GRADE
As we were learning about Woman’s History, out teacher involved us, the students, in a new program called unreal engine. Unreal engine was used to design your own game levels and being used by professionals. We had to do a project where we had to design a level from our knowledge of woman’s history through the learning endeavor. Two artifacts that show the process of this project are the first draft of the museum and the final design so far. They both show the overall process done with the museum and the final museum shows more exhibits from later projects that involved Unreal. We learned basic models and lessons from videos the teachers presented to us to get a better understanding of wht to do with this project, which made it easeir to do the project and come up with creative ideas to implicant into our levels. The biggest growth resulting from this project was the knowledge of using an interesting program and growing to use it more and know what parts of the program does, but there is still way more I would need to learn to fully unlock Unreal’s potential. It’s important to me that I would like to learn more about unreal is since I’m an artist, I want to learn more ways to be creative other than creating 2 dimensional images. This project was the begginging of a process to build more onto our level and it made us grow along the way until we ended the use of unreal, but it is still fun to look around and make something to add to that level to get a better knowledge of what you could do if this project was still continuing.
