EXCELLING IN 9TH GRADE

What it means to excel is to fully know the material of what it is you’re learning and if a mistake is made, you can use that knowledge to help solve the problem and grow further. One example of this when you are working on a test that you studied for and know the material well, but you get some problems wrong, but you know your mistakes and revise to receive a better score. What we did in Chinese was learning more from our book about new characters and grammar that is needed when using the new words.  We were working on Lesson 2 of our Chinese textbook, which was about family titles. Two artifacts that helped with the learning process were the Lesson 2 vocab quizzes and Workbook pages. They help us learn both the characters and pinyin because they’re helping us remember the material easier and it can stick with us when we need to use Chinese in the future. After reading the dialogues provided in the textbook to help learn the characters and pinyin, the workbook pages give different scenarios where the characters were used and we would need to figure out how it’s being used. When we will eventually have an idea about the Chinese learned from the lesson, we have a quiz about the characters and pinyin to give us a better understanding to move on and learn more. Chinese class is a class that can be easliy excelled at if you can understand the material being taught and can remember all the parts correctly to have better grades on assaginments and quizzes.
